razzle dazzle?

Hey guys, as promised I plan to be more dedicated to blogging.

I spent my last winter break as an undergrad in my hometown.  My older sister and one of my good friends have back to back birthdays, so we went out to celebrate.  I kept things extra simple and wore a black and gold sequence top from forever21+ and skinny jeans from the gap.  My shoes (not seen my apologies) were a $10 steal from JC Pennys!  Also note JC Penny's has really cute clothes and shoes, shocking but I racked up on some great deals.  Check them out ladies you might be surprised at the stylish items you find.

My box braids were in a high bun and my makeup was done by me.  All MAC products were used and my lip color was Red Racer from the Hey Sailor Collection.  P.S. my apologies for the fleece jacket, not so chic but I am out of town and I happen to only bring one coat.

I hope 2013 has been great so far! I promise to be back soon with more graceful post!

2012's favorites

So 2012 is about to be over!  This has been an amazing year!  I've been extremely blessed!  I wanted to share some of my favorite things from this year!

The first is my Iphone 5!  I've been team #anythingbutiphone all my life but my Iphone is everything.
My sequence Uggs!  Seriously the best purchase of my life!
My first expensive bag!  I worked all summer for it!  Its my life!
Meeting Young Jeezy! I absolutely love him!
Last but not least, my first real apartment!  Paying your own "real bills" like rent, electric, water and etc. is depressing but liberating!

I'm looking forward to 2013 with GWOS!  Happy New Year everyone!

Box Braids Trend....

So as always I'm always late on trends!  I first saw the senegalese twist/ box braids trend almost two years ago here in Atlanta!  It seems like everyone has been rocking this chic style lately (including Beyonce.)  I'm going natural and I wanted to get either braids or twist once I took out my sew in.  I am home for the holidays and I first was going to get some twist but here in Ohio they cost over $200!  Seeing as how they are much more cheaper in Atlanta (and I'm a cheapskate) I oped for box braids!  They aren't as perfect as I wanted them but for $70 it was okay.  Plus I only plan to rock my high bun.

Love the look, I'll probably take them down in next month and get some twist next time!

Oh Hi There

Hey everyone!

I wish you all could see the stupid smile I have plastered across my face!  I'm so excited to be starting this new blog!  Blogging is something that I've been into since like forever!  I always say I'm going to really start my own blog and stay dedicated to it.  But like all things Caryn, I always seem to come up short.  Well this is going to change, GWOS is going to be one of my main commitments!  I want to bring to others what so many other bloggers have helped bring to me.  I can visit other blogs and it feels like a safe haven, where people are free to be themselves.  Once you have that first taste of liberation you never want to go back!

I've battled with my own issues my whole life, but I'm finally comfortable with who I am.  I hope to inspire others.

Thanks for reading,

I hope you all enjoy!
